ROCHESTER -- Drew Bledsoe always suspected that playing quarterback for the Buffalo Bills is different from any role in the NFL. Now he is sure of it.
Coming over from from the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, where Bledsoe went from franchise quarterback to backup after a potentially life-threatening injury last season, has produced a hero's welcome without end.
A couple thousand fans attended an introductory news conference at which a marching band played the fight song of Washington State, his alma mater. There was a rally at which all 3,000 jerseys devoted to the new quarterback sold out within an hour.
