NSW: Girl escapes kidnappers after indecent assault

SYDNEY, Dec 15 AAP - A teenaged girl who was abducted and indecently assaulted managedto break free from her three captors, police said today.

The 17-year-old was forced into the car while walking in Dee Why, on Sydney's northernbeaches, at 9.15pm (AEDT) yesterday and was indecently assaulted by one of the three men.

Police said she made her escape after being driven around for 10 minutes.

Her attackers made brief attempt to recapture her before driving away.

The 17-year-old, from Paddington, was later treated at Royal North Shore Hospital.

A police air and dog squad search in the area of the kidnapping failed to locate thethree attackers.

The men were described as being in their early 20s and of olive complexion.

One was described as 192cm tall and of a thin build, the second man of medium heightand stocky build and the third man to be short.

Their red-coloured car had a black spoiler and trim with a disco mirror ball ornamenthanging from the rear view mirror, police said.
